Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas

Did you used to love Valentine’s Day at school? How fun was it to exchange those sweet cards and candy with all your friends?

Now that we’re grown-ups, the pressure to pick out the perfect gift is legit. So I’m here to help. Here are my picks for Valentines Day gifts for your sweetheart, your friend, the classroom teachers, and even yourself!

Let’s start with the hubby. Where is his favorite city? How cool would it be to give him a bottle of his favorite local drink and pair it with one of these etched street map glasses from The Uncommon Green?

street map glasses

There are SO MANY cities available, and the glassware varies from high balls to pints to stemless wine glasses. Does he have a craft beer from Oregon he likes? Find it on Mouth.com and pair it with a Seattle pint glass! Go the extra mile and put a plane ticket in too. Check out their college towns, their “smart barware” too – you can get a bar glass with the Constitution printed on it, or a mason jar with street maps. (Not kidding.) Is he a runner? Check out the marathon maps. They even have a Frankenstein glass for Halloween in case you’re planning ahead. I’m completely enamored with all their map glasses.

Now that I’ve got the hubs covered, let’s leave some hints for this incredibly functional, can’t live through the weekend without it gift:

You know what that is, right? It’s a MIAOYING Bamboo Bathtub Caddy Tray Organizer with Extending Sidesbathtub caddy, with slots for your phone, a prop for your book (I suggest the touching new Rory Feek story),

it even has a round spot for your bottle of wine (or I guess you could put a candle or bowl for chocolate. Or wine. I like wine.) and a holder for your wine glass.

THIS IS THE BEST GIFT EVER. And because your husband is like mine and waits for the very last second — it’s available on MIAOYING Bamboo Bathtub Caddy Tray Organizer with Extending Sides Amazon Prime here. Oh yeah.

Next up, let’s talk about your bestie. I bet she likes chocolate. Am I right?

My go-to easy gift for Valentine’s Day are these chocolate spoons

and yes, it’s okay to make them EVERY year. How to’s here. They’re super easy to put together and they are delicious. Tie them up with in a cello bag with a bow and you’re winning sweetest day. Make them on these adorable spoons from Mud Pie,

and you’re her BFF forever. Or at least until the very last sip.

Let’s not forget the teachers. I mean, they’re so helpful with the littles, and you know they need some pick me ups during the day. I’m loving these tiny candy jars from Oriental Trading.

I am going to etch the sides to personalize them but for now, I’ve filled them with pink and purple heart shaped candies, and tied a bow around the top. Really easy, but a happy little thoughtful gift that won’t take up a lot of room on their desk. I suggest giving more than one, and filling the other with Tylenol. 🙂 (All from Oriental Trading.)

And lastly, let’s not forget to give yourself a little treat this year. My gift to myself was a Valentine’s Day mini photo session with my best girl and her new puppy.

I framed one for me, but they would look DARLING on a photo pillow from Shutterfly or even one of their catch-all trays!  <3 Reach out to Becky here so you can get in on her future mini-sessions or a full on portrait session, or hire her for your next event. Happy Valentine’s Day!
