The focus of the 2018 Global Earth Day is to End Plastic Pollution. This includes creating support for the elimination of single-use plastics along with uniform regulation for the disposal of plastics.
According to the Earth Day Network, “plastic pollution poisons and injure marine life.” Additionally, “the exponential growth of plastics is threatening our planet’s survival through its ubiquitous presence in our food to disrupting human hormones and causing major life-threatening diseases and early puberty.”
You can do your part to reduce or eliminate health and other risks associated with plastic bottles by using bkr’s BPA-free glass water bottles. Founded by Tal Winter and Kate Cutler (a woman-owned company), “bkr is the antidote to cheap, disposable plastic bottles.” I absolutely LOVE mine!
So get out there and help save the planet and while you’re at it, have fun at these 2018 Earth Day Texas family-friendly activities!
