The following is a list of the Eisemann Center for Performing Arts Family Theatre Series Productions with descriptions.

Each of these productions is accompanied by an event during which kids can engage more with the themes presented in the show. These Eisemann Extras portions of the events begin at 1:30 pm each show date listed.


The Amazing Max – October 8, 2017
Max Darwin – THE AMAZING MAX – combines magic and comedy, making objects appear and disappear and generally defying the laws of physics inches from theatergoer’s faces. This interactive and all-around silly show is appropriate for audiences of all ages.

Pinkalicious The Musical – November 12, 2017
PINKALICIOUS can’t stop eating pink cupcakes despite warnings from her parents. Her pink indulgence lands her at the doctor’s office with Pinkititis, an affliction that turns her pink from head to toe – a dream come true for this pink loving enthusiast. But when her hue goes too far, only PINKALICIOUS can figure out a way to get out of this predicament.

Pete the Cat – January 21, 2018
A new musical based on the PETE THE CAT series of books by Kimberly and James Dean has this groovy blue cat on his way to stay with a new family. He’s excited, but Jimmy Biddle is nervous about how their houseguest is going to shake things up. When Jimmy draws a blank in art class on the last day of school, it turns out Pete is the perfect friend to help him out. Join Jimmy and Pete on an adventure of friendship and inspiration!

BAM Percussion – February 25, 2018
BAM PERCUSSION showcases the art of comedy-percussion. From beginning to end, eXplosion electrifies the crowd with its powerful rhythms and its deliriously funny sketches. The pulsating energy of BAM is contagious: through drumbeats and laughs, it overwhelms the audience. Add to this a transcultural humor and a lot of rhythm and you get a truly universal event.

Go, Dog. Go! – April 22, 2018
GO, DOG. GO! brings the adventures of P.D. Eastman’s book to life in a frolicking musical dog party full of surprises, color, clowning, vaudeville, singing/barking, and of course, six lovable dogs. The cast of this beloved preschool favorite has gone to the dogs—with cars, hats, audience participation, and even a wild game of ball as this hilarious visual spectacle manages to sneak important life lessons between innings.
