Add the retro-cool Texican Court Hotel at Las Colinas to your hotel bucket list

Irving’s retro-inspired boutique hotel, the Texican Court, is open in the urban center at Las Colinas!

Listen up travel warriors. I know you lose track of what city you’re in. All those big hotel chains look the same despite the local “art” they hang on the walls. It’s time to hit the refresh button and stay in style at the new Texican Court Hotel in the heart of the LC. Why? First off, location. This retro-inspired court concept hotel is smack-dab in Las Colinas’ entertainment district at 501 West Las Colinas Blvd, across from the Irving Convention Center and Toyota Music Factory.

Now let’s talk style points. This unmistakably Spanish mission-style court hotel has a landmark icon at the entrance that as any good Texan, you’ll recognize immediately: the Alamo. Which means locals, bucket list add on. You need to stay-cay there so you can boast about staying at the Alamo! The rooms? Well, they’ve the motor lodge of the modern age with a SMEG fridge, on-trend concrete flooring (don’t you wonder about those carpets in other hotels, EWWW) and barn door bathrooms.

But don’t stay in your room the whole time. Outside is calling you to join your fellow guests around the fire pit for live music and drinks from the bar. Introverting much? Grab a rocking chair on the wraparound porch and sip on your signature margarita with your pup. Oh yes, they are also pet-friendly.

Because the LC is uber — and UBER — close to well, everything in DFW, (but especially DFW airport), the Texican should be your next meeting location too. It has 3,500 square feet of meeting and event space including the Little Chapel (holds up to 160 people) and The Serape Boardroom (holds up to 18 people)

“We wanted to bring the theme song from the Spaghetti Western film, ‘The Good, The Bad and The Ugly,’ to life through the design of this hotel,” said Valencia Group President Doyle A. Graham, Jr. “When you listen to the song, you can envision the larger-than-life vistas filled with dramatic backdrops and excitement, and we captured the essence of the tension, and drama characterized by this song in the walls of this hotel to create a captivating experience for our guests.”
