Fantasy Football: Mommy’s Endzone Upgrade – Week 1 Results

Week one is behind me. I feel like a seasoned fantasy football pro.

Not.

But what I have ascertained is that there are a lot of moving parts in this fantasy football thing. Like how you earn – or lose – points per play per player, and you’re up against another team in your league each week, and one player’s injury that’s not even on your team can still effect the play making capabilities of your player. Sheesh. It’s a lot to keep track of and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

I also learned that it’s a lot of fun.

My plan was to immerse myself in all things fantasy football for ALL of what is now known in our house as fantasy football day. Cursed with a busy Sunday, I wasn’t able to set up my command center like I wanted. I couldn’t find an app to sync with our league either. I was growing more tense by the minute. By the time I parked it on the sofa with my iPad, the nighttime games were playing – but in those remaining  few hours I let the DVR run wild with my usual routine of Cupcake Wars and Food Truck Race and obsessively refreshed the Head2Head website to watch my points roll in.

I’m totally hooked.

How did I do? Well, not so bad for a first try. My only real goal was to beat Real Posh Predators. And I did. See:

The hubs (Geaux Tigers) actually did really well. (He’s gunning for you Big Mo!) And for someone who wasn’t nearly as enthusiastic as I thought he’d be when I got us into this mess, I think he’s turned the corner. He even e-mailed Head2Head because 2 of the points he was supposed to earn didn’t show up. And he got them. So there.

Yeah, we’re so in.

UPDATE: Geaux Tigers and Mommy Endzone Upgrade (husband and wife combo) had the best cumulative performance in week 1.
